She's going to win the whole thing but we don't have any sappy story with pensive music in the background to play for her entire journey. I think the producers were like "holy sh!t, this girl is amazing. All the spots for that day were already filled. She actually confirmed my theory a few years ago when she said she wasn't even supposed to audition. No interviews to the side with the producers. There are no video packages of Camila or her family at the beginning. Now instead of Camila's story to run with, they had the collective group's story to run with. If you can't show Camila's audition there isn't much of a story to go by so they created the story of her being eliminated and then saved by creating a girl group. With those shows producers like to show the entire journey of the winner. I really believe Camila was supposed to win X Factor on her own, but since the song she sang at her audition wasn't cleared for copyright use they needed to do an audible. ![]()
